The teams in the cup can win the following prizes

There are four main prizes of Brännbollsyran. Winner of the Cup, Winner of the Youth Cup, Best in show and Best supporters. Last year our main partner Länsförsäkringar also added the ”Most solid Hands” and ”Safest Team”. If your team reaches top 32 in the Cup, the team will be seeded to next year.

Brännbollsyran is the official World Cup of Brännboll, held in Umeå in the end of May since 1974. Brännboll is a Swedish version of rounders. Close to 300 teams participated in Brännbollsyran 2019 and over 20 000 players and supporters visited the cup during its three days. The Cup takes place at Mariehemsängarna, close to Umeå Universitet. This World Cup is for everyone, regardless of experience or goal. You are welcome to join whether you just wanna have some fun, dress upp, have a teamwork experience with your colleagues or if you’re aiming for gold.

The winning team of 2021’s cup is awarded with a team dinner (5000 SEK)
The award for Best in show goes to the team that is best at playing dress-up, putting on a show and entertaining the audience. The jury for this award consists of Gustav Pettersson (Cup general), one of Brännbollsyrans photographers and a delegate of the players. Four teams are nominated to the finale, and the winner is announced before the cup’s great finale, where the winning team is decided by the audience.

The best supporters of Brännbollsyran is announced at the great finale of Brännbollsyran. The jury for this award consists of Gustav Pettersson (Cup general), one of Brännbollsyrans photographers and a delegate of the players. To win this award your supporters and cheer leading team needs to be the loudest, proudest, largest and most inventive group of people.
